No….the two aren’t related. After last year’s beach trip I mapped out this shell art, but never put it together because I was too lazy to iron the burlap. This year, I changed around some shells and ironed, but couldn’t find the glue gun. Turns out they are only $2.77 at Walmart, so I saved myself the headache of hunting for it and just bought a new one. I am pleased with the way it turned out. I originally got the idea from a Pinterest post. I got the weathered frame, foam core board and burlap from Hobby Lobby, and the shells span three beach trips. I sprayed them with a light gloss spray to enhance the colors. And, on to the the raccoon issue. They have eaten all of the tomatoes. I mean ALL of them. The green ones, the almost red ones, the ones that were just thinking about becoming tomatoes… We bought some sort of mystery substance at Stockdale’s to that is supposed to deter them, but the guy there said it was about a 50/50 chance of whether they would hate the smell enough to leave. Here’s hoping for a stinky garden!
